An open-source hydraulic modeling package for civil engineering
HMod is an open-source project aiming to develop a library of tools for hydraulic analysis in civil engineering applications. This project is in the early stages of development with additional features planned as shown on the roadmap.
Traditionally software in the civil engineering sector has relied on a proprietary for-profit model for development and distribution. High licencing costs have limited the availability of software, slowing the industry's ability to effectively deliver projects, whilst the proprietary nature of software leads to vendor lock-in. HMod aims to provide a free and open-source alternative, encouraging collaborative approach to developing tools across the industry.

All elements of HMod are shared under a GNU GPLv3 licence.
Packages are provided without warranty or guarantee and are to be used at the user's own risk. It is recommended that users review the source code and documentation before using any of the packages.
